Organising, protecting and selling stash yarns and hand knits

Time to read: 1 min

Periodically, we like to go through our possessions to take stock of what we have and what we don’t use anymore.

Yarns

I recently organised the yarns in my yarn pantry and took away the balls of yarn I know I won’t use in the future and listed them onto a selling app. They sold in about 20 mins so I am happy that some can make use of them.

Unworn Sweaters

I also wanted to make space in my wardrobe for my own hand knits and so listed some items I never wear. I have a load of items online to be sold, those that don’t sell, I will donate to one of the local charity shops.

Protecting my hand knits and yarns.

I like to have my yarns in units with glass fronted panels so that I can see at a glance exactly what I have, which means I am more likely to reach for it and use it. This also obviously keeps things protected from any wool-eating pests any home may encounter.

I recently acquired this unit from Amazon for my hand knitted wool and cashmere jumpers and I am super happy with it. I thought it was very good value for the price and is exactly the storage option I have been looking for.

Not Sponsored, the link takes you to my Amazon Affiliates page- I bought the unit and I am happy with my purchase to recommend it, any purchases made using my link means I earn a small commission. 🙂
